After graduating from the Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Science, Kyoto University in 1993, he joined the Asahi Shimbun Company as a newsman. He worked in branch offices at Tsu (Mie Prefecture), Gifu, Tokyo and Fukuoka, and then in 2001 participated in the foundation of "Seven," a weekly newspaper for young generation, and subsequently of "be on Saturday" in 2002. He quitted his job in the end of 2004 and founded "lohasmedia Inc.," thereafter serving as president. He also serves as a member of the board of directors of General Incorporated Association Insurers Supporter Organization, as a part-time lecturer of the School of Medicine, Yokohama City University.

She graduated from the Faculty of Business and Commerce, Keio University in 2000. Subsequently, she studied in the master's course of the School of Natural Resources and Environment (SNRE) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA and participated in SNRE masters project 2003-2004, decreasing the distance between food production and consumption and building a local food network in Washtenaw County, to obtain the Master of Science degree in Environmental Behavior in 2004. Before the present post, she worked as an employee at Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research and Japan Medical Planning, and as a research fellow and later as a specially appointed researcher at the Institute of Medical Science, the University of Tokyo. She is a mother of two boys.

She graduated from the Department of Social Welfare, Faculty of Social Welfare, Osaka Prefecture University in 2001. After working as a newsperson for a newspaper in the welfare business, she obtained qualifications for a social worker, a 2nd class home helper and a specialized welfare equipment counselor, and subsequently worked at hospitals and care facilities. At present, she again works as a journalist. She serves as representative director of "Public Press," an NPO, one of the directors of "Heart Ring," another NPO, and a visiting lecturer of the School of Medicine, Showa University. She wrote "People Who Save Little Lives - To What Extent Do You Depend on Medical Care?," "A Doctor Who Trembled with Earthquakes - Hanshin, Then Tohoku," (under joint authorship with Dr. Kazuhiro Nagao) and "Gastric Fistula and Chou à la Crème - What Is Truly Important ?". She is a mother of a boy.

He graduated from the Department of English Literature, Faculty of Humanities, Sophia University in 1983. After working as a high school English teacher for 12 years in Chiba Prefecture, he was dispatched to the Republic of Honduras as a member of the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV), managed under the auspices of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), in 1996 and to the Republic of Panama as a coordinator of the JOCV program in 1999. After coming back to Japan, he worked at a private company and subsequently founded LOHAS Medical Japan, Inc. in 2006, thereafter serving as president. He also serves as an external member of the Institutional Review Board at Sanraku Hospital and as facilitator of "Learning about Life," a school visiting program for junior high school students. He is the eldest brother of Yasushi Kawaguchi, chief editor.
